Frozen Eyelashes

It was a cold run this morning. Lots of "spitcles" forming on dogs and my eyelashes kept freezing together.

Okie, our old leader, decided she wasn't up for run today. That allowed us to run fast as she's our weakest link (...for speed, cause otherwise she's a rockstar!)

Flier and Jig did well together in lead!

Thanks, dogs, for the perfect end to a great long weekend.

Thanksgiving Week

It's Thanksgiving week which means the daycare is closed and we, the parents, are taking turns with Rohn at home. Today was my day...and what do we do when we have a day at home?!? Run the
dogs, of course.

Flier ran single lead for most of the run and did great! He sometimes wants to veer off the trail but listens well to correction and is always listening for directions!

Rohn is my helpful little musher! Puts down the bowls and picka them up, with a smile on his face!

Tank waiting on his boy!

Good dogs!

In the groove

We're into the 4-runs-a-week routine and loving it. Here are a few photos from this week.

Warm weekend

It was a warm weekend. After it had been so cool during the week, I was slow to get up and out to run dogs (bad musher!). When I did, it was getting close to too hot. So we took it slow and had a number of water breaks and rests. Tank an Okie led the team and did wonderfully! Thankfully Okie was there too keep Tank from veering off course (he's a bit of a distractable "leader").

On our way out!

First break. The largest and the smallest leading the team.

Tank taking in the view.

Jig and Flier are good buddies and love running together.

Whip so strong for her little sature.

Buck and Buzz!

Beautiful fall colors for our second break.

We love fall! It's so pretty and we get to start running again!!!

On our way home!

Sunday evening fun

It's been on and off stormy and rainy today but luckily in the evening, when I planned to run the team, the clouds parted and the wind calmed.

Rohn and I took the team out for 5 miles. Okie started in lead with Jig but, she struggles when she runs next to competent leaders. She tried to turn the team around when not asked. I put Whip up with Jig. They did amazing! Even ran the team past a herd of deer only 10 feet away!

Boy it was fun spending the Saw Litter's 2nd Birthday running!

Ready to go!

When we got home this is how I found the house cat, Montana (she loves the dog beds)...

And the retired dog, Blue...

Rough life!

Whip would be so embarrassed that I'm sharing this picture; don't tell her:
